‘All Her Paths Are Peace’, took its title from Proverbs 3:17 and was a temporary intervention made for the duration of the General Assembly of The Church of Scotland in May 2018. The black and white corridor is the threshold of the Assembly Hall and this intervention drew attention to the ancient words of welcome, ’peace be with you’, as commissioners and guests arrived and the exhortation, ‘go in peace!’ as they left. The design of the installation deliberately revealed the word ‘peace’ while simultaneously obscuring it. The paths of peace can be hard to find……
