198 jam jars were filled with Irn Bru and water, forming a word, which was changed daily throughout Advent. The installation, which was backlit, was on a street-facing window in the cafe corridor of the Renfield Centre, Glasgow, creating a large-scale, public Advent calendar. Each of the 25 words were derived from the story of Jesus’s birth. Between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the colours were inverted to reveal the word ‘born’.
