For ‘Peace on Earth’, long lengths of tea-bag paper were inscribed with the names of the 25 most war torn places on earth, while others were inscribed with the word ‘peace’.  They were hung between two sandstone pillars in Renfield St. Stephen’s Church, Glasgow, and below them compost was spread on the tiled floor. Daily, during Advent, one length of paper was pulled down and let fall and prayers for peace said. The final name to fall, early on Christmas morning, was Bethlehem.
