A simple cross shape made from sisal string was suspended in Renfield St.Stephen’s Church, Glasgow, throughout Holy Week. The horizontal lengths of string were stretched tightly, as if grasping the two sandstone pillars, while the vertical lengths fell loosely onto the floor. The crossing point was a 1:1 weave, which was filled in with flowers on Easter morning.
