Neon orange yarn created a connection between the water of baptism and the world beyond the sanctuary walls. The yarn visually linked the centrally positioned font to the walls, doors and windows of Renfield St.Stephen’s Church, Glasgow, and stretched beyond the sanctuary to the street furniture outside. ‘Wet Wool’ was a visual response to both the architecture of the church and the sacramental theology of baptism.
