In February 2020, during a week-long residency at the University of Stirling, a single textile piece was knitted on the ‘Peacemakers’ loom. Using this piece, the artists made an intervention on one of the original Bertoia Diamond Chairs from the University’s Furniture Collection. The iconic 1952 design was transformed by weaving the yarn through the concave wire grid, introducing mass, colour and texture, thus creating a new sculptural form.
